This project enhances knowledge and awareness of sexual harassment in the workplace amongst employees and employers in the Waterloo Region. We have developed a series of workshops that begin with discussing legal rights and responsibilities, and carry through to unconscious biases, bystander intervention, and responding to disclosures of sexual violence. The training can be customized and applied to any level of an organization, from frontline workers to C-level executives as well as policy adjustment and development. In tandem with a social media campaign, we are raising awareness about what is sexual violence in the workplace, where an organization and its staff can turn for support, and how to create and contribute to inclusive, healthier workplace environments.
